Russian citizens deported from Bali


The public relations and reform department of the regional branch of the Ministry of Human Rights of Bali noted that most foreign citizens were deported during 2020, Antara reports. According to the Denpasar Migration Service, from January to September 2020, 18 foreigners from Nigeria and Russia were deported. In the Migrant Detention Center in Bali, 20 people were recorded, mainly from Russia, Nigeria and Kenya. Meanwhile, 66 foreigners were deported, mainly from Bulgaria, the USA, Ukraine, China and Russia. The Ministry of Human Rights in Bali noted several reasons for deportation: firstly, incorrect residence, the provision of false information about obtaining a residence permit and non-compliance with local laws and regulations. In addition, many foreign nationals have expired residence permits. According to the news agency, the spokesman for the anti- COVID-19 task force, Vicu Adisasmito, said that over the past week 38 districts/cities have switched from the orange zone to the red.
