Imports of flour from Russia and Kazakhstan to Kyrgyzstan grew by almost a third


The volume of wheat flour imports to Kyrgyzstan from other member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union in January and June 2020 increased by 32.7% compared to the same period in 2019, Tazabek writes. Also in the first half of this year, the volume of supplies of vegetables and legumes to the republic from the EAEU countries increased 3.3 times. However, there has been a decrease of 29.6 per cent in imports of chocolate and other cocoa-containing products, 28.3 per cent in imports of bread and flour confections and 11.8 per cent in imports of cereals. In general, imports of Russian, Kazakh, Belarusian and Armenian goods and products to Kyrgyzstan decreased by 15%, amounting to $835.4 million (62 billion 851 million rubles).
