A Ukrainian citizen who flew from Turkey found almost 22 kg of silver in hand luggage. This was reported on September 7 by the press service of the State Border Service of Ukraine (GPSU). The man, who was heading from Turkey to Ukraine, border guards together with customs officers found almost 22 kg of silver in hand luggage, the report said. The press service said that smuggling was prevented thanks to previously received operational information. According to preliminary estimates, the amount identified is 650 thousand hryvnias (more than $23 thousand news agency). The exact cost will be established by an examination for which metals have already been sent, added to the GPSU. According to the news agency, earlier in the Odessa region in the port was detained a record batch of smuggled cigarettes that wanted to be imported into Ukraine under the guise of Georgian tea.
