In the west of Ukraine refused to comply with the requirements to strengthen quarantine

The Ternopil City Council (western part of Ukraine) sees no reason to attribute the epidemiological situation in the city to the red level of the epidemiological danger of the spread of coronavirus. This was reported on August 1 on the city council page on the social network Facebook. The decision to introduce the city into the so-called red zone was made by the state commission on technological and environmental safety and emergencies. According to the source, the rate of coronavirus infection in the city over the past weeks has declined and is at the same low level. In addition, the workload of beds in medical institutions is 46.89%, which is two times less than the established standard. Therefore, on August 3, Ternopol enterprises, institutions and organizations will operate as usual. At the same time, we ask you to comply with sanitary standards and the masking regime, conduct temperature screenings of workers and visitors, ensure disinfection of premises, etc., the report says. It should be noted that the classification of a particular settlement of Ukraine as a red danger level in connection with the epidemiological situation in COVID-19 requires a ban on passenger transportation, stopping the work of cultural institutions, catering, shopping and entertainment centers, social and rehabilitation institutions. Earlier, the city of Lutsk (Volyn region, northwestern part of Ukraine) fell into the so-called red zone. The acting mayor of Lutsk, Igor Polishchuk, also refused to stop public transport in the city and close any establishments.
