Huawei top manager calls for expansion of chip production in China
Huawei's chief executive officer for consumer business, Richard Yu, called on Chinese companies to increase their own chip production. This was reported by the portal cnTechPost. In May 2019, the US Department of Commerce blacklisted Huawei, banning free cooperation with American manufacturers. A year later, these measures were also extended to foreign companies using American technologies in production.
