Nintendo says coronavirus will not affect 2020 game releases
Nintendo said it would not postpone video game release dates scheduled for 2020 due to the coronavirus epidemic. This was announced on June 27 by the Screen Rant portal. During the next meeting of shareholders, the company's management was asked what measures Nintendo took during the coronavirus epidemic and whether its employees worked in a remote format. Managers said that the company faced minor problems, but assured that they would not have any impact on the releases to be held in fiscal year 2020 (ending March 31, 2021). At the same time, they noted that delays are possible if Japan faces the second wave of the Covid-19 epidemic. Nintendo previously announced that the release of Paper Mario: The Origami King will take place on July 17, 2020. Crown Tundra's addition to Pokemon Sword and Shield is also expected to be released in 2020. There is no information about when Nintendo plans to release Breath of the Wild 2 and Metroid Prime 4.
