Mexico to resume sending seasonal workers to Canada

Mexico will continue to send seasonal workers to Canada's farms after reaching an agreement with the Canadian government, the press service of the Mexican government said. It is reported that the authorities of Mexico City and Ottawa were able to agree on the necessary sanitary measures that would be followed by Mexican workers who arrived in Canadian territory. These measures are introduced due to the risk of the spread of a new type of coronavirus. According to the news agency, earlier migrant workers from Mexico were temporarily banned from entering Canada due to the threat of the spread of coronavirus infection. At the same time, about 60 thousand Mexican workers go to Canada for seasonal work every year.
