Dutch Parliament demands investigation of anti-coronavirus measures

The lower house of the Dutch Parliament called for an independent investigation of the government's actions to combat coronavirus. The corresponding proposal was submitted to the chamber by factions of the Labor Party and the Socialist Party. All 141 out of 150 deputies present at the meeting voted for the proposal. Deputies insist that the results of the investigation be made public no later than September 1, so that the government can learn lessons before a possible new outbreak of coronavirus. The government expressed its disagreement with the proposal of the deputies. According to the Minister of Health, Hugo de Jonge, the Government was ready to learn, but it did not require an independent investigation.
