A man who threatened to blow up the Metro Bridge was arrested in Kiev

A man who threatened to blow up the Metro Bridge has been arrested by the Dnieper District Court in Kiev. The decision was read out by the judge during the meeting broadcast by the UNN agency. The application for a preventive measure in the form of detention of a detainee under the article on false reporting of mining was granted. The man will be detained for 60 days in the State institution of the Kiev remand centre of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, that is, until 29 July inclusive. The arrested person is set bail in the amount of 110 subsistence lows or 315.2 thousand UAH (about 12 thousand US dollars). During the meeting, the man repeated the motives for his act. He said he wanted to draw attention to his difficult life circumstances. There were no weapons and explosives on the man at the time of his arrest on the bridge. Earlier, the news agency reported that the bridge in Kiev faces up to eight years 'imprisonment.
